Is Palmers cocoa butter the best for Ethnic skin?

I find that most ethnic people such as indian, black, and spanish use palmers cocoa butter on there skin. They usually use the butter that is in the jar. My mom uses it all over her body and face and she has no wrinkles at the age of 55.

I am starting to use this and i find that it is amazing.

Any experience?

Laura asks…

will it make me break out if i use it on my face?

QA answers:

Cocoa Butter will not harm you. It is alright to use it.
Cocoa butter, in many ways, is the ultimate moisturizer in that it is highly concentrated. Cocoa butter is an outstanding skin protectant because of its superior soothing and healing properties and its ability to help the skin retain moisture. It creates a micro-thin barrier that seals moisture in while at the same time allowing your skin to breathe easily. Cocoa butter melts at body temperature. This helps it to penetrate into the skin. In short, it’s the ideal moisturizer. It does leave a bit of a greasy feel.

A great facial moisturizer is Shea Butter. Shea Butter is solid and comes from the natural fat obtained from the karite tree grown in West and Central Africa. Shea butter is an emollient. It is extremely therapeutic, helping to heal cracked, aged and damaged skin. Its chemical constituents help to heal bruising and soreness. Shea butter penetrates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It has vitamin A, E and is highly compatible with skin. Shea Butter has many documented healing properties, with helping to strengthen Nails & Cuticles to helping heal scars, burns and blemishes, to minimizing wrinkles, just to name a few. ….Shea Butter melts upon skin contact to revitalize, soften and maintain moisture without leaving any greasy residue.

Shea Butter may be better for your face and then use the cocoa butter for your body. When you are looking for Shea Butter you need to look for a creme/butter instead of a lotion. The lotion is not as concentrated.

would cocoa butter help make your skin changed back to its normal color?

i burned my skin on monday and the scan was created on monday. it came off because i laid on it. it is now pink. would cocoa butter help change my skin back to color on my face? if so, how long would it take? if not, what are some home remedies or non expensive items i can use to help the curling iron burn?

QA answers:

Cocoa butter won’t help. You could try Mederma for scars if the burn is really bad but I read that it takes a long time to work.

Donald asks…

When’s the best time to add cocoa butter to your skin to avoid stretch marks…before or after working out?

When’s the best time to add cocoa butter to your skin to avoid stretch marks…before or after working out? And how often should a person apply cocoa butter?

QA answers:

Like any lotion I think you should apply it twice a day. Before or after, it doesn’t matter because you don’t immediately gain or lose weight while working out.

PS cocoa butter will not really work to prevent them if you are losing weight because stretch marks tend to be already there, but just become more visible when weight is lost.
